Miss Ashley Sevits – Ashburn, Brambleton Town Center

Miss Ashley has been dancing for over 20 years and been teaching young children for almost 10 years. She began her dance training in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she began to receive awards at Dance Competitions in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Her senior debut was the Black Swan Variation from Swan Lake at the Showstoppers National Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC awarding her the highest honor of top scoring Senior Solo and the Gold Award. During this time she was also dancing principle roles with the North Carolina State Ballet Company. Her roles include: Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Clara (The Nutcracker) Odile, Big Swan, (Swan Lake) and many solo roles. Ashley then attended North Carolina School of the Arts where she trained with Brenda Daniels, Sean Sullivan, Diane Markham and Trish Casey. Later she attended and graduated in 2006 from UNC Charlotte with a B.A. in Dance. During her college years she performed with Queen City Jazz, a local jazz company in Charlotte, NC.  In 2006, Ashley moved to the Washington, DC area and began dancing with Dancin’ Unlimited Jazz Dance Company, under the direction of Marylin York, and began teaching ballet, tap, and jazz in Arlington.  She now is the artistic director of Bella Ballerina for all of their studios.  Tiny toes are her passion and we’re sure your children will love her!

 

Miss Jenna Clifford - Ashburn, Brambleton Town Center

Jenna is excited to join Bella Ballerina with an extensive background in dance through years of performing, teaching and choreographing around the country. Originally from Missouri, Jenna has 23 years of studio training in ballet, lyrical, modern and jazz with both Springfield Ballet and Missouri State University.  She graduated in 2007 with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in dance.  Since graduating she has been working consistently in the dance industry with more than 10 years of teaching experience in lyrical, jazz, ballet, hip hop and modern.  During that time, she was a consistent head instructor, judge and choreographer for the Universal Dance Association, as well as serving as a UDA state director.  Jenna has been featured as a guest choreographer for studios and dance teams across the country as well as locally.  Personally, she was a performer in the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and recently spent three weeks performing in cricket matches throughout India.  Jenna is happy to share her passion for tiny toes with the rest of the Bella Ballerina staff.  Outside the studio you can find her participating in a variety of adventures such as scuba diving, sailing, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with her dog!
