Miss Ashley Tibbens

Director and Lead Teacher Brambleton, VA

Miss Ashley has been dancing for over 20 years and been teaching young children for almost 10 years. She began her dance training in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she began to receive awards at Dance Competitions in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Her senior debut was the Black Swan Variation from Swan Lake at the Showstoppers National Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC awarding her the highest honor of top scoring Senior Solo and the Gold Award. During this time she was also dancing principle roles with the North Carolina State Ballet Company. Her roles include: Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Clara (The Nutcracker) Odile, Big Swan, (Swan Lake) and many solo roles. Ashley then attended North Carolina School of the Arts where she trained with Brenda Daniels, Sean Sullivan, Diane Markham and Trish Casey. Later she attended and graduated in 2006 from UNC Charlotte with a B.A. in Dance. During her college years she performed with Queen City Jazz, a local jazz company in Charlotte, NC.  In 2006, Ashley moved to the Washington, DC area and began dancing with Dancin’ Unlimited Jazz Dance Company, under the direction of Marylin York, and began teaching ballet, tap, and jazz in Arlington.  She now is the artistic director of Bella Ballerina for all of their studios.  Tiny toes are her passion and we’re sure your children will love her!

 

Miss Jenna Clifford

Lead Teacher Leesburg & Brambleton, VA

In-School Programs

Jenna is excited to join Bella Ballerina with an extensive background in dance through years of performing, teaching and choreographing around the country. Originally from Missouri, Jenna has 23 years of studio training in ballet, lyrical, modern and jazz with both Springfield Ballet and Missouri State University.  She graduated in 2007 with a degree in kinesiology and a minor in dance.  Since graduating she has been working consistently in the dance industry with more than 10 years of teaching experience in lyrical, jazz, ballet, hip hop and modern.  During that time, she was a consistent head instructor, judge and choreographer for the Universal Dance Association, as well as serving as a UDA state director.  Jenna has been featured as a guest choreographer for studios and dance teams across the country as well as locally.  Personally, she was a performer in the 2009 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and recently spent three weeks performing in cricket matches throughout India.  Jenna is happy to share her passion for tiny toes with the rest of the Bella Ballerina staff.  Outside the studio you can find her participating in a variety of adventures such as scuba diving, sailing, hiking, traveling, and spending quality time with her dog!

 

Miss Tosha Kranz

Teacher Leesburg & Brambleton, VA

Tosha Kranz began her dance journey at the age four in California. Growing up in a military family her study of dance continued throughout the country. Tosha developed her ballet skills at Barbara and Tammy’s School of Dance in San Antonio, TX and her tap dance skills were later refined at Kay’s Dance Studio in Dayton, Ohio. Tosha enjoys all things relating to the stage and was thrilled to represent her city in the Mrs. Ohio International Pageant (2005). Tosha brings a unique perspective to dance as a certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer. She has been a certified group exercise instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America for over ten years and has taught everything from Zumba to Balletone. She is also a certified personal trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine, “I love to study the science and mechanics of a body in motion but also experience the joy that comes with expressing emotion in movement.” Tosha has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Mexico and five years of classroom teaching experience. She is a licensed elementary school teacher in the state of Virginia. Her teaching experience also includes designing physical education curriculum. In her free time Tosha and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors with their two terriers. Tosha is studying Russian and enjoys overseas travel. She hopes to someday try her hand at stage acting.

 

Miss Lily Johnson

Teacher Leesburg & Arlington, VA

In-School Programs

Lily Johnson is excited to dance, have fun, and stay active with your little ones at Bella Ballerina! Tapping her toes since she was a tiny tike, Lily has danced through life for 15 years. Growing up in a military family, Lily gained experience in several studios across the country dancing ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She later focused solely on jazz, and excelled in the style. While pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Marymount University in Fine Art/ Pre-Art Therapy, She was also trained and certified as a Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. Since graduating, Lily is excited to encompass her creativity and passion for movement at our studios and is looking forward to dancing with Bella’s tiny ballerinas!

 

Miss Megan Lunsford

Customer Service & Scheduling

Megan absolutely loves dancing! She started classes at the age of 3 and danced all the way through the end of her college career as part of the school’s Hip Hop Club. She grew up in Hanover Pennsylvania, and aside from dancing, she played the piano and violin, ran for her high school’s track team, played field hockey, basketball and softball, and was involved in many school plays. Megan is a proud mother to daughter Savannah, and dedicated wife. Megan’s hobbies include attending every Baltimore Orioles game she can, traveling all over, and living an active lifestyle. Helping young children develop has always been a passion of Megan’s. From babysitting at a young age to currently working for Bella Ballerina, her goals have always been to be a positive role model for kids.
